Free Music Making Software (BEST)

07/14/2020
First things first we gotta go over the basics You’ll require the basic stuff like a computer and while not necessary a midi controller will help. Also a limited knowledge of beat making is required. Here we will go over must know tips and tricks that the pro's use. * Have a strong foundation Every robust building must begin with a strong foundation; it’s no different when making your own beats. Start with the basics, lay down a kick and snare pattern that both inspires and keeps a strong pulse.  * Make it pretty! Begin to build on your simple kick and snare pattern. Add hi-hats, toms, cymbals, claps or any possible sound effects that will grow your simple pattern into the best beat of 2020.  Try experimenting with different VST plugins (virtual instruments) to alter the sound of your beats and get that snare sounding just right. Step 3:  Don’t overpopulate. Always remember, there’s more to a song than just the beat. Leave space for additional instruments and vocals.  * Practice makes perfect Unless you’re an unknown prodigy in the making, it’s very unlikely that your first beat will make the charts. Develop your craft and experiment with new sound effects and rhythms. Try to replicate your favourite producers beats to learn first hand from the masters themselves!  Want more advice on making your own music?   Make your own studio Technology has come such a long way in such a short space of time. Gone are the days of needing high tech studios to make music. In today’s world, the humble laptop is all you need to break into the music industry. For those of you wanting to dive a bit deeper into the world of production, a home studio is a great starting point to both develop your craft and begin working as a professional sound maker.  There are a few basic things every producer needs to begin building their own home studio (excluding a computer). * Digital Audio Workstation Every producer needs a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) to record, edit, mix and master their tracks. With so many to choose from, it’s hard to know which DAW is best for you.  * Audio UI Sure, MIDI instruments are sounding more realistic by the day; but why settle for MIDI samples when you can record the real thing!?  An audio interface will allow you to expand your beats into fully-fledged songs, adding instruments, vocals or anything else you desire to record!  * Preamps I know, I know… Nearly all audio interfaces now have their own inbuilt preamps for recording instruments and vocals. So, why would you need additional preamps?  Well, it’s all about having those extra colours on your pallet. Preamps can shape the tone of your recording and even offer additional features in the higher-priced products. The Top 10 Beat Maker Online Software Enough talking about the black hole that is studio gear and let’s get down to the real reason we’re here… The top 10 beat making software of 2019/2020. * Splice Sounds If you’re a beat producer, you’ve more than likely heard of Splice due to their well-known VST plugins. How to Use Loops to Make a Song

07/14/2020
How to Use Loops to Make a Song Utilising samples and loops to build music is criticized by some, but it's not to be ignored. In loops are the future of music, infact, just about all mainsteam songs produced today are from loops  found online. You have no excuses! For example take Daft Punk, their work revolves soley around the use of loops. By the way, hip hop came from mixing music to create a beat for vocals, as have many other genres. Some drum loops are used in multitudes of hit songs.

Music Making: How to Make Song From Loops

07/14/2020
Music Making: How to Make Song From Loops It's not hard to make a sample or loop. It can be, though, very hard to combine them in a way that sounds good. Many pitfals exist when trying to make loops, or music in general, for that matter. Like writing block, sometimes you just cant come up with anything creative, in this case it's almost always best to briefly take a break and occupy your mind with something new entirely. Many things play a part in getting "loopers block", that is not being able to come up with anything original with your track. Here's some of the problems. 1. Choice Not always is a huge selection best. Sometimes, simple is the most efficient. When you go to a fast food place for example, take McDonalds. The menu is simple and to the point. You go to a local restaurant and you're likely to see a huge selection of dishes to choose from. The bigger the business, the bigger the emphasis on simplicity, because at the end of the day most people prefer simplicity and efficiency. The same goes with loop making. Producing music with music making programs tends to be very similiar across the board when it comes to effects and tools. Take GarageBand, it has multitudes of instruments. These features can be manipulated in so as to get endless results. While it can be time consuming going through all the material, it's well worth the time and effort. Some really great sounds and effects are included with this Digital Audio Workstation. Solution to Choice - Audio Sessions Playing with audio is a huge peice of the puzzle when it comes to creating great tracks. Take thirty minutes and look through loopazon to find your favorite piano loops, drum loops, and vocals. After you can compile the best sounding and put them in your DAW's playlist.  2. Less is better It's a super common mistake you'll see almost all beginner's do, adding too much seperate instruments, loops, and samples to their music. You have to resist the urge to add more loops and samples then is absolutely necessary. A simple rule of thumb to follow, limit yourself to one of everything, one drum loop, one vocal, one melody, etc. When you start stacking sounds on top of each other a great peice of work gets ruined. One only has to look at any song ever. Take a listen and take note how much different instruments there are. It's usually a drum, piano, and maybe guitar for all mainstream music. When it comes to music you dont want clutter, the goal is to convey an emotion in the most simple way.  After getting an understanding of the drums, piano, and guitar bits you'll require to compose music create a new project in your Digital Audio Workstation of choice. Limit yourself to using just 2-3 instruments, and only  once each. 3. Ok now what So, you have the loop made from a few instruments, the hard part isn't over. Then comes the tenuis and time consuming task of making transition between your loop so that it can play in an uninterrupted way for the length of the song. A usefull tip You might be entertained by this basic tip. If you have a loop you cant seem to get out of your head a cold shower can help. I know, it sounds crazy, but this shock to the nervous system is good in this situation, and others that brain "reset" would do well. Mac Miller had a specific way out getting past creative blocks. By leaving the loop or sample playing in the background, and lightly reading, he was able to spark that unconscious creativity we all have but can't access. Einstein, after all, came up with his best ideas whilst asleep. Take a break, and focus on relaxing. It is then you will come up with your best ideas.

Some Tips for Better Loop-based Music

07/14/2020
Loop-based music is for much more than dancing and DJs. I’ve used loops for three movie soundtracks, dozens of industrial video soundtracks, a radio commercial, and several remixes. For most of my rock tunes, I use acoustic drum loops (and using these tips I’m about to share, I’ve convinced several actual drummers that I used a “real” drummer). Using loops is also a friendly way to get into music, because the process is more like collage — you don’t need great technical chops, just a solid musical sense of how to arrange disparate elements into a musical experience.

Top Rated FL Studio Alternatives (Best) Beginner Guide

07/09/2020
“FL Studio” aka FruityLoops has long been a go-to platform for many including aspiring music composers and professional artists. The digital audio workstation stands out on many fronts like versatility, customizable interface and more significantly; high efficiency. That said, FL Studio does have some drawbacks including clunky recording, complicated editing process, and more that can dampen productivity especially if your workflow is too demanding. The complex editing process means newbies find it rather hard to master the tricks of the trade. Not to mention, the software warrants a premium price tag that starts from $99 and goes all the way up to a whopping $899. And that’s exactly why some folks would look its alternatives. Well, if you are one of those folks, here are the best FL Studio alternatives in 2020.
